Woodstock is a town in Ulster County, New York, in the Hudson Valley along the eastern edge of the Catskills. Its compact town center sits at Tinker Street and Mill Hill Road, with shops, restaurants and the Comeau property and trail nearby, while the rest of the town spreads out along wooded mountain roads. Surrounding hamlets, including Bearsville, sit within the same town lines and share its roads and services.
Homes in Woodstock range from in-town houses within walking distance of the center to properties on larger wooded parcels farther out. The town has both year-round households and second or weekend homes; the two coexist here, and we do not present either as the better way to own in Woodstock. Practical questions matter more than labels: road and driveway access in winter, well and septic systems, heating and seasonal maintenance, internet service, and how far a property sits from the town center.
